I make no bones about it, I am a crazy dog person. I love Lucille Austero, and wish I could bring her to work with me (and everywhere else, really). In lieu of a world with totally lax dog policies, these easy Boston Terrier nails will have to suffice.

They look trickier than they were, really. It's just a half circle with triangle ears, a fat X down the middle of the face, two dots on the side and a heart nose. I keep seeing (and sometimes attempting) intricate nail designs, and though I don't have the most steady hand yet, breaking everything down into shapes has been the easiest way for me to learn.

Don't worry about making it too perfect, because the more wall-eyed, the better. It's not a shaky hand, its authenticity, people.

  1. Wow, love the doggie accent nail! I have a westie mix - I bet I could figure out how to paint him out of triangles, perhaps? :)

  2. Awwwwwwwwww. I'm really loving the mint color too. It's popping up everywhere for the spring.

  3. I will somehow figure out how to do this with a pug. This looks fantastic. Great tribute to a great dog.

  4. In case I haven't fully cemented myself as a crazy dog person by buying anything and everything bearing the silhouette of a Boston Terrier, I might as well go all out with a manicure to match. Doubtful that mine will come out as well, but thank you for the inspiration!
