A WINTER COCKTAIL RECIPE

In case you aren't from Chicago or don't have any Chicago-based friends on Facebook, allow me to catch you up.

ITS BEEN REALLY FUCKING COLD HERE.

So in honor of this chilly weather, I thought today we would whip up a little liquid-long-johns libation! It's a really simple recipe that even a novice bartender can do and is perfect for snuggling up next to the Netflix yule log

You will need:
Vodka
A glass (optional)

And that's it! You can either shake or stir this recipe, since it doesn't fucking matter because you're just drinking straight liquor. If you don't have all the ingredients, I've played around a little with the recipe (I consider myself somewhat of an amateur mixologist), and found that it works just as well with bourbon, gin, brandy, whiskey or tequila. However, much like baking works best with real butter, I wouldn't suggest skimping on alcohol content for this recipe, as the final result doesn't turn out quite right.

Stay warm,
z

  2. I'm in Texas and I flipped when I got in the car this morning and the temp said 14 degrees. I cannot even FATHOM what -52 feels like. This probably sounds ridiculous and obnoxious, but do people even go outside? Hope the vodka keeps you warm!

    1. its funny, yesterday was 0*, which wasn't terrible, its the wind today that makes it UNBEARABLY cold. haha i can't even describe it, its just like, it hurts? kind of like everything is being stabbed and is going to crack and the atmospheric pressure has increased a ton?

people don't go outside if they dont have to!! i have quite a few friends who are working today, and though they aren't happy, they made it! our schools are closed, though, along with most restaurants and businesses!
