Pumpkin Spice Puppy Chow - Made with Cookie Butter!

This weekend, I had time to dive right into some of the items on my list of Fall Recipes, as mentioned in Part One of the Fall Recipe Guide. I'm going to break each recipe into it's own post, just because it seems easier to keep track of that way. Today's is motherfuckin cookie butter puppy chow

You might be wondering why this is a fall recipe, but its because the original was based off a recipe for Pumpkin Spice Puppy Chow, which I used as a base but with quite a few modifications.

For today, you will need:
One box of Cinnamon Chex (roughly 13oz)
One and a half cups creamy Trader Joes Speculoos Cookie Butter
One 12oz package of white chocolate chips
3 cups powdered sugar
3/4 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice

In a microwave or double-broiler, melt together the chocolate, pumpkin pie spice, and cookie butter. I used a double broiler because my microwave is kinda janky sometimes, and white chocolate burns really easily. It will melt down really quickly into this delicious spreadable concoction you have to resist eating instantly. Also, I'm sorry I couldn't round up a more respectable looking spoon for this photoshoot.

Let it cool for a minute so that it's still workable, but won't burn your hands to the touch. Pour your cereal into a large bowl, and the mix over the cereal. Get in there and get your hands dirty, mixing it all up. If you don't want to do that, do what I did and call your best friend over to do it for you.

Once its all coated, you'll want to toss it in powdered sugar. Apparently this is best done in a large ziploc bag, or another huge bowl, but unfortunately I had neither, because I still haven't nailed this whole Two-Bowl adulthood thing. So I used a wok, which worked perfectly fine, thankyouverymuch.

That's it. Melt, mix, toss, eat. IT IS SO GOOD. I did not expect it to be so wonderful, because I don't often succeed with new recipes on the first try, especially ones I've changed so much, but this was amazing.

This post is a part of the Fall Recipe Guide series, where I gather recipes for my favorite season, attempt them, and tell you if they were gross or delicious, complete with modifications to make them idiot proof.
