SNAPSHOTS

Because it's been a good week for eating and thrifting. Because thing always just seem a little prettier in the summertime. Because the point of having a blog is that I can be that person who takes pictures of her avocado because I have the internet to share it with.

A perfect avocado / some pretty blue jars from Family Thrift / the Daley Plaza farmers market last week was legit only strawberries and peonies / more jars because I have a problem.

  1. Great pics, you made such ordinary items look super cool! How did you do the white background and brightness? Do you use a backdrop?

    1. hahah maybe i shouldn't admit this, but the white "backdrop" in most of these is actually the standard-issue glare of my cubicle desk at work, which has surprisingly bright light. for the cookie jars though, i had a backdrop set up for a project coming next week, so I just threw those on there and snapped away in my (also very well lit) kitchen, before going into Elements and playing around with levels a little bit!

  2. Such a cute little collection of pictures. But, I can't help to think that I wouldn't be able to fit very many biscuts in that biscut jar... Not enough to satisfy my needs, anyways.

    1. it's deceptive, because its like 10 inches tall! so while it could not fit the amount of biscuits i require (the limit does not exist), its a good start.

  3. Are those strawberries from Nichols Farm?! Dig on the DP Farmers Market, too. I cannot stop coming home from work with plants. Roommate is going to kill me.
