How to Tie a Head Scarf

Have I ever mentioned how much I love reader requests? It makes me feel like a bonafide blogger.

Anyways, a request came through yesterday asking how I tie the headscarf I've been wearing in the past few posts, and from the Instagrams from my road trip. It seems like such a simple request, but anyone who has ever actually tried it has had them slip off, or look weird, or lay funny. In lieu of a step-by-step picture tutorial, where I always get lost at one step ("Wait, what did she just do with it in the back of her head? How in God's name did she get the loop to do that??") I figured I'd do a quick video.

So you just start on the top of our head, pull it down and around (no twisting or knotting in the back necessary), and use four bobby pins (two on each side, alternating direction) to secure!

Does that help, or have I joined the masses of confusing scarf-tiers?

xo,
z

  5. Thanks, I love seeing ideas for short hair! My hair is finally my natural color and short right now. I really want to keep it natural for healthiness reasons, and for the fact it has never been...but you are making me want to bleach my hair!
