Because I'm a glutton for punishment (and because I have some leftover supplies from this project), I've decided to tackle making another clutch. This time, I whipped up a little pattern, which may have been unnecessary because you are only sewing two straight lines.
You like them MS Paint Skills? I thought you might. Basically you take one long piece of fabric, and you'll think of it in thirds. Piece A will be the flap, and Pieces B & C will come together to make the pouch part. In even easier terms, you just fold the fabric like you'd fold a letter you're stuffing in an envelope and stitch up the sides.
You can also add the pyramid studs the same way we did for The Studded Dickey. (It is so hard to refrain from making Prince Albert jokes when talking about that post. This doesn't count.) I decided to keep this particular bag clean and simple. I just wanted a really simple clutch that can hold keys/phone/cards when going out that I don't have to worry about when someone inevitably spills a drink on or if I leave it in a cab.
Black vinyl - $7 per yard on Amazon. I used 1/8 yard.
Pyramid Studs (optional) - $3 on Etsy
What are you up to on this lazy Sunday? Now that I finished whipping up that purse, I'm going to sit here resisting giving myself Tumblr hair, and this new wig is making it hard. How weird would it be if I dyed my hair periwinkle then bought a normal person wig to wear to work? Anyways, I'm also going to Radiohead, so my day won't be all consumed by vanity, but man, I do like this hair.
